Sharon Sang Eun Lee, MD, MPH, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Environmental Medicine and Public Health at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, specializing in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of occupational injuries and illnesses. In this position, she sees patients at the Mount Sinai Selikoff Centers for Occupational Health for work-related health conditions. Additionally, she supervises occupational and environmental medicine residents and collaborates with departmental faculty on occupational disease surveillance and research projects.
Dr. Lee’s prior research has focused on worksite health promotion programs and opioid use for acute occupational low back injuries. Dr. Lee completed her Occupational and Environmental Medicine Residency at the Harvard School of Public Health and a Preventive Medicine Residency at the University of Rochester Medical Center. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Psychobiology at Binghamton University of the State University of New York and completed her medical degree at the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center College of Medicine. She is board certified in Public Health and General Preventive Medicine and also holds a Master of Public Health from the University of Rochester Medical Center.
