Biographical Sketch
Ezra M. Greenspan, MD (1919-2004) was on the staff of the Department of Medicine at The Mount Sinai Hospital and Mount Sinai School of Medicine from 1952 until his death in 2004. A pioneer in the development of cancer chemotherapy, he was best known for publishing the first studies of combination chemotherapy for ovarian cancer in 1962 and for metastatic breast cancer in 1963. In 1968 Dr. Greenspan established the Cancer Chemotherapy Foundation to support cancer research. There is an annual conference detailing treatment and research advances.
