The Laparoscopic and Advanced Gastrointestinal Surgery Fellowship Program strictly adheres to the Duty Hour Compliance guidelines mandated by the New York State law, as well as, the Mount Sinai Hospital House Staff policies and regulations.
The following duty hour guidelines include:
- Fellows must not work no more than 80 hours per week averaged over 4 weeks
- Fellows must take at least one complete calendar day off per week (Sun. – Sat.)
- A consecutive call period must not exceed 24 hours
- Fellows must receive 8 hours off between shifts
Salary
Starting salary is set at $79,393.
