PRS development for traits or conditions of interest to the Mount Sinai medical community. The CTG team will work with investigators to define the clinical phenotypes using health systems data and generate prediction models using summary statistics from genome-wide association studies. These models can be used to calculate individual PRS for a patient cohort of interest.
Optimization and validation of PRS using the BioMe Biobank, Mount Sinai Million, and other clinical datasets. The CTG team will test pre-generated PRS models, such as those compiled in the PGS Catalog database, using diverse Mount Sinai genotype and phenotype data as a validation dataset.
Study design, consultation services, and support for clinical implementation trials. The CTG team will work with investigators to plan implementation studies for PRS with evidence of clinical utility.
