Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI)

It is the responsibility of all researchers, trainees, students, and appropriate staff at Icahn Mount Sinai to be familiar with the regulations regarding export controls. While the material on these web pages provide an overview, more in-depth training is available at no cost through the CITI. In addition, guidance for specific questions is available by contacting the Export Control Officer. To access the training course, go to the CITI website and follow these steps.

  1. Select “Log In Through My Organization”
  2. Scroll down and select “Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai”
  3. Log in using ISMMS credentials
  4. Select the option to create a CITI account. It will automatically associate with your Icahn Mount Sinai account.
  5. Select the option to add a course
  6. Scroll all the way to the bottom to Question 9 and select “I would like to take the course in Export Control”
  7. Click Next
  8. “Export Compliance (EC)” should now be listed under “Courses Ready to Begin”
  9. Click “Start Now”
