The Charles Bronfman Institute for Personalized Medicine

Research at The Institute for Personalized Medicine

In our approach to research at The Institute for Personalized Medicine, we believe in the principal that the whole is greater than the sum of the individual parts.

While pursuing individual lab research agendas, our faculty members, working with our key research partners, have established overarching, productive multi-disciplinary research programs, labs, and focus areas.

Led by our faculty, our disease biology research groups focus on a number of different areas. These include genetic epidemiology, population genetics in disease, genome-guided health care, and development of markers, targets and models of kidney disease, genetic influences on medication response, and clinical translation and improving diagnosis of adult genetic disorders. We have established essential partnerships and collaborations with leading academic institutions, health centers, research labs, community-based centers, and consortia. Our collaborative efforts support the mission of the Institute’s programs and individual research labs. Our partnerships include both Mount Sinai partners and external partners and collaborators.
