The Faculty Development Team strives to catalyze self-efficacy, professional fulfillment, and achievement at all faculty career stages through mentorship, leadership, and career advancement programming. We aim for the Mount Sinai Health System and Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai to have an institutional culture and infrastructure that empowers and supports all faculty to reach their full professional potential.
We endeavor to:
- Increase offerings, awareness, and use of professional development resources, and increase the transparency and efficiency of the appointments, promotion, and tenure process and policies to enhance the career advancement of all our faculty
- Prepare faculty from all backgrounds for leadership roles by offering innovative
- Promote a culture that values and encourages mentorship and coaching, and enhances the quality, quantity, and versatility of mentorship throughout the institution. We offer a range of mentorship enrichment programs.
