The Parsons Research Center for Psychedelic Healing

The Parsons Research Center for Psychedelic Healing, based at Mount Sinai and the James J. Peters VA Medical Center, investigates the therapeutic potential of psychedelic compounds like MDMA and psilocybin for PTSD and trauma-related conditions. With PTSD affecting millions—especially veterans—there is an urgent need for more effective treatments. Our Center conducts clinical trials and research using neuroimaging and molecular biology, while also providing therapist training and leading public and scientific education efforts.

We are developing innovative treatments for trauma, with a strong focus on improving care for veterans. Through groundbreaking clinical research, we are exploring the potential transformative power of psychedelics like MDMA and psilocybin through clinical trials, education, and outreach.
