Membership

The Institute for Regenerative Medicine (IRM) welcomes all interested members of Mount Sinai’s community

  • Faculty Member: Full- and part-time faculty at the instructor, assistant professor, associate professor, and full professor levels
  • Staff Member: Professional and technical staff members
  • Trainee Member: Graduate students, post-doctoral research fellows, and residents

Benefits of Membership

Membership in the IRM provides you with the opportunity to interact with a welcoming and diverse community of scientists focused on bringing the promise of regenerative medicine to fruition. Our researchers include basic scientists focused on understanding the mechanisms of stem cell behavior, translational researchers developing preclinical models to understand human disease progression and test potential therapeutic approaches, and clinical scientists carrying out patient-oriented studies including clinical trials.

IRM members can choose to join the Black Family Stem Cell Institute, the Alper Center for Neural Development and Regeneration, the Center for Advancement of Blood Cancer Therapies, and/or the Center for Epithelial and Airway Biology and Regeneration (CEABR).

Applications for IRM membership involve the following materials and steps:

  • Please indicate which category of membership you are applying for
  • Please indicate whether you wish to join the Black Family Stem Cell Institute, the Alper Center for Neural Development and Regeneration, the Center for Advancement of Blood Cancer Therapies, and/or the Center for Epithelial Biology and Regeneration
  • Please provide NIH-style Biosketch and Other Support page
  • Please provide a 1-2 paragraph statement of interest in stem cell research and/or regenerative medicine
