I am very proud of our Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine. Our accomplished faculty, who have trained in the leading children's centers across the country, provide the highest quality of care to our patients. In addition, they are all clinician educators who are helping to teach the doctors of the future.
Our Division excels in cutting-edge areas such as simulation education and ultrasound use at the bedside. Our academic mission is promoted by our eight full-time, board certified physicians who are leaders in their areas of expertise.
We pride ourselves in providing patient-centered care in a separate geographic space for our youngest and most vulnerable patients.
It is an exciting time for us. With the merger with Continuum Health Partners, we are rapidly working to coordinate our services into one large, family friendly, quality-oriented department with benchmarking of quality measures and coordination of care across the entire system. The Mount Sinai Hospital and Mount Sinai St. Luke’s see approximately 51,000 patient visits per year, and the Mount Sinai Beth Israel campus sees approximately 15,000 patient visits per year, bringing our grand total to 66,000 pediatric emergency visits per year.
Our mission, as it has always been, is to deliver the highest quality of care in the most efficient way to our pediatric patients.
