The Anesthesiology Residency at Mount Sinai Morningside and Mount Sinai West is built on a simple belief: that the best training environments are both demanding and supportive. Working closely with departmental leadership and our residents, we have intentionally cultivated a program where trainees feel safe to learn, ask questions, and grow, while being held to the highest clinical standards.

Our goal is not simply to produce clinically competent anesthesiologists. We emphasize resident well-being, professional development, and graduated autonomy so that our trainees leave prepared to manage the most complex anesthetic care while also becoming outstanding colleagues and leaders in our field.

We continuously evolve our program in response to resident feedback and the changing demands of modern anesthesiology, expanding rotations, strengthening our curriculum, and increasing opportunities for independence and leadership.

Our residents are our greatest ambassadors. They are central partners in our shared mission to make this one of the premier anesthesiology training programs in New York City.
