Message From the Co-Director

I am proud to serve as the inaugural director of the newly launched Mount Sinai-Clinique Healthy Skin Dermatology Center, uniting breakthrough research, clinical care, and industry partnerships under one roof to propel advancements in dermatology. As an immunologist, dermatologist, and translational researcher focused on investigating the underlying factors of inflammatory skin diseases like eczema and contact dermatitis, I have spearheaded discoveries that paved the way for emerging targeted treatments. Now, I aim to leverage my bench-to-bedside approach to work with my peers to uncover innovative solutions to promote healthy skin across all ages, genders, races, ethnicities, and lifestyles.

By examining healthy skin aging alongside disorders that accelerate aging, such as eczema, we can pinpoint key drivers of youthful skin and mechanisms that slow aging overall. These insights will inform future Clinique product innovations and inspire new clinical modalities to maintain skin integrity.

With more than 20 years of experience directing pioneering research centers and leading significant multi-stakeholder initiatives like the International Eczema Council, I am committed to fostering collaborations across sectors to maximize our impact.

Together with our brilliant multidisciplinary team and partners like Clinique, we strive to set the global standard for integrative skin health hubs, where breakthrough science intersects with clinical excellence and consumer education. This Center will be uniquely poised to extend lives through skin health—advancing dermatological care while empowering patients to make informed decisions about their skin and aging.
