DNA Day, Wednesday, April 26, 2017

National DNA Day is Tuesday, April 25, 2017. National DNA Day commemorates the completion of the Human Genome Project in April 2003 and the day in 1953 when James Watson, Francis Crick, Maurice Wilkins, Rosalind Franklin, and colleagues published papers on the structure of DNA. The structure of the DNA double helix was unraveled over sixty years ago!
IPM will be celebrating DNA Day on Wednesday, April 26th, with another promotional event in the Guggenheim Atrium from 11:00am – 3:30pm. Special deoxyribonu-“cake,” designed by IPM’s own Bibi Liggayu, will be served. We anticipate this being a wonderful opportunity for physicians, patients, employees, and visitors to learn more about the BioMe Biobank Program, and IPM as a whole, and even have the opportunity to make an appointment to enroll in BioMe (and enter a raffle!).
