Mount Sinai Skin Biology and Diseases Resource-Based Center (SBDRC)

Membership

We offer the following types of SBDRC membership:

Full Members are Mount Sinai faculty engaged in funded research projects in skin biology and disease. Our full members are well-known researchers in skin biology with an outstanding track record of publications. View our full list of Internal Members.

Associate Members are Icahn Mount Sinai researchers who might not work directly in skin research, but are engaged in collaborative or exploratory studies in this area. This membership fosters expansion of skin research, promotes interdisciplinary collaborations, and helps attract new members.

Clinical Associate Members are clinical faculty investigators who lack significant independent funding but participate in skin-related research in collaboration with full members, promoting communication and collaboration between basic scientists and clinicians, which is essential for translation of basic and preclinical research.

Trainee Members are senior post-doctoral fellows engaged in skin research and research-oriented Dermatology residents. The SBDRC pilot grant and mentoring programs aid in their transition to independence and help to establish the next generation of scientists and physician-scientists in cutaneous research.

External Members are academic researchers from outside Icahn Mount Sinai. They are engaged in funded research projects and have well-defined interests in cutaneous biology and/or disease. External members often collaborate with Mount Sinai PIs on these projects. To apply for membership, please submit your NIH Biosketch and NIH Other Support page to SBDRC@mssm.edu.
