Microsoft Copilot at Mount Sinai

Like every AI tool at Mount Sinai, Microsoft Copilot is being deployed with the same commitment to safety, oversight, and accountability that guides our systemwide approach to artificial intelligence.

We encourage every employee to discover how Copilot can support their daily work. Copilot can help you prioritize your day, find information quickly, draft documents and presentations, and summarize long reports or emails. It operates inside the same secure environment as the Microsoft tools we use every day, providing maximum protection for our data and our people.

Microsoft Copilot Chat is available to all staff with a Mount Sinai Microsoft email. Accessible through Outlook, Teams, and the web, no additional sign-up is required. If you have a Microsoft account, you already have access.

Have a question about Copilot Chat? Reach out to copilotsupport@mountsinai.org.

Microsoft 365 Copilot Premium offers an enhanced set of capabilities. Premium builds on everything Copilot Chat provides, adding deeper integration across Microsoft 365 tools and enabling Copilot to work with your files, data, and shared content in OneDrive.

Copilot Premium is currently being prioritized for high-impact roles across the Health System. Licenses are being distributed in a phased approach, and are based on demand, adoption, and business needs. If you have questions about whether you would be an appropriate candidate for Copilot Premium, or any other questions about Copilot, please reach out to copilotsupport@mountsinai.org.

As with all AI use at Mount Sinai, human oversight remains critical when using Copilot. Each employee is accountable for the accuracy and quality of the work they create with Copilot’s help. Please review our full AI in Marketing and Communications guidelines, which offer more detail on approved tools, those that call for extra caution, and use cases that aren’t permitted.

Whether you're brand new to Copilot or looking to get more out of it, Mount Sinai offers guided training through PEAK, our learning platform.

Our PEAK collections also link to Microsoft's own Copilot training hub, where you can learn at your own pace.

Have a question about training registration? Reach out to tdl@mountsinai.org.

Copilot is a part of our larger effort to embrace safe, responsible AI that improves our work at Mount Sinai. If you have an idea for an AI tool or solution, we welcome you to share it.
