The Council’s mission is to promote institutional excellence through recruitment, retention, development, and advancement of faculty with diversity of thought, experiences, and intellectual curiosity.
Council members include senior-level faculty representatives and serve several functions:
- Function asdepartmental or institute liaisons to the Council
- Assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring departmental and institute climate
- Develop specific departmental action plans under the guidance of department chairs
- Share best practices for advancing excellence and success among our faculty
