Genomic Health Initiative

Thought Leader Speaker Series

As we enter an era where the price of genome sequencing has plummeted, the future of health care and important new medical discoveries is accelerated through harnessing the potential of the human genome and through the incorporation of genomics into medicine.

Mount Sinai is at the forefront of this era of genomic health and precision medicine. We have a spectacularly diverse patient population well-served by health care providers who truly believe in the potential of precision and genome informed medicine. We also believe in the application of gene-based medicine and digital health to improve health outcomes for all. Expertise in genomic research and medicine can be found across many Mount Sinai departments, institutes, and centers.

With so much groundbreaking, collaborative genomic research and advancement in technology and patient care, we have created the Genomic Health Initiative Thought Leader Lecture Series. We will invite internationally renowned luminaries at the forefront of genomic research and medicine from academic, government, and industry settings to share their insights on the future of genomic health worldwide. This hybrid lecture series is hosted by both of us, open to students and faculty across the Health System, and designed to be informative and thought-provoking for researchers and medical professionals.
