Data Sharing

Data sets from the p53 study including molecular, biochemical, and structural biological data will be made available without cost to researchers and analysts. The final data set will include both raw data and derived variables, which would be described in the documentation associated with the data set. The nature and format of the data will be computerized in final form. To ensure the access of all registered users, PDF files will be created in Adobe Acrobat version 5.0 or higher. Typically, data sets will be available after acceptance for publication of the main findings from the final data set.

Eligible users shall be defined as academic researchers and trainees involved in basic, translational, or clinical research in cancer. As part of the registration process, users are required to submit their title, name of institution, area of research, and NIH bio-sketch. Registered users must agree to the conditions of use governing access to the public release data, including reporting responsibilities, restrictions on redistribution of the data to third parties, and proper acknowledgement of the data resource. Registered users may receive user support, as well as information related to errors in the data, future releases, and publication lists. The information provided to users shall not be used for commercial purposes and will not be redistributed to third parties.

The Administrative Core will continue to maintain the website to allow registered users to have access to final data sets for a period of three years beyond the end of the grant.
