The Office for Professional Engagement and Development, within the Office of the Dean at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, supports our faculty, students, residents, and clinical and postdoctoral fellows across their careers. Our vision is to provide individuals with open and fair pathways to success, ensure they feel welcomed and valued, and equip them with the tools to flourish both professionally and personally. By providing guidance, support, and education, we help them reach their full potential and build their capacity to impact science and medicine as teachers, researchers, and clinicians.

The Office integrates several previously separate offices, programs, centers, and institutes to coordinate and align the principles of well-being, belonging, and career advancement across the Mount Sinai community. We also work in close partnership with the Department of Human Resources and its Division of Talent Development and Learning. This unified approach represents Mount Sinai's dedication to building a sustainable environment where faculty, students, residents, clinical and postdoctoral fellows and staff can thrive.
