The Advanced Cardiac Metabolism and Lipids Fellowship program is a one- to two-year non-ACGME research and clinical fellowship at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. It provides training in the management of inherited and acquired lipoprotein disorders, cardiovascular disease risk mitigation, and metabolic optimization. The training program is centered at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and is directed by Robert S. Rosenson, MD. By the end of training, fellows will be eligible for the National Lipid Association Boards.
Graduates of the program will be proficient in managing complex lipoprotein disorders, including:
- Identification of high-risk genetic traits
- Metabolic and nutritional optimization
- Cardiovascular risk mitigation
- Use of contemporary lowering pharmacotherapies
In the fellowship, you will also have opportunities to pursue lipid-associated clinical research and will become proficient in study design and implementation, protocol development, manuscript writing, and statistical analysis.
