Message From The Director

Choosing the right fellowship is one of the most important decisions you will make in your career. At the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, we have built a program designed to prepare you for every aspect of maternal-fetal medicine, from mastering complex ultrasound diagnostics to conducting meaningful research that advances our field.

As a fellow in the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship at The Mount Sinai Hospital, you will work alongside a diverse faculty with expertise spanning genetics, fetal therapy, infectious disease, quality improvement, and more. Our location on Manhattan’s Upper East Side gives you exposure to one of the most varied patient populations in the country, preparing you to provide excellent care in any setting. The collaborative culture across our departments—from neonatology to pediatric cardiology to genetics—means you will learn to approach complex cases from every angle.

Research is an integral component of our program. Fellows have at least one year of protected research time during their fellowship, with dedicated research coordinators and biostatisticians supporting you from study design through publication.

We are proud of our close-knit community, where faculty and fellows are committed to each others success. We take mentorship seriously, with an open-door culture and genuine investment in helping you achieve your professional goals. Our graduates go on to leadership positions in academic medicine and excel in private practice, equipped with the clinical judgment, technical skills, and confidence to thrive wherever their careers take them.
