Message From the Director

The Cardiology Fellowship at Mount Sinai Morningside-BronxCare offers a unique blend of outstanding cardiology training at two historic and dynamic medical centers. Our program shapes exceptional clinicians who develop the confidence and expertise to handle any cardiac scenario—from emergencies and critical care to chronic condition management and preventive cardiology. This comprehensive clinical development is made possible by our dedicated teaching faculty, high-acuity patient population, and the invaluable experience gained from working across two medical centers serving remarkably different racial, ethnic, and social communities.

We take pride in cultivating an environment where collaboration and character flourish. Our fellows often form lifelong friendships with their colleagues, creating a supportive atmosphere that enhances both learning and patient care. This positive team dynamic is essential to our program's success, and we actively seek candidates who share our commitment to these values.

Our program recognizes that today's cardiology landscape offers unprecedented opportunities for physicians to contribute to medicine's greater good—whether through clinical practice, institutional leadership, or community health initiatives. We support this by providing leadership opportunities in the later fellowship years and emphasizing critical evaluation of academic literature as a fundamental skill. Fellows can leverage the full academic resources of the Mount Sinai Health System, with strong mentorship available for those interested in research pursuits. We welcome applications from candidates who share our passion for clinical excellence and dedication to advancing cardiovascular medicine.
