Cardiothoracic Imaging Fellowship Program at The Mount Sinai Hospital

The Cardiothoracic (Chest) Imaging Fellowship at The Mount Sinai Hospital is a one-year program that provides trainees experience in all aspects of chest imaging, including chest radiography, chest computerized tomography (CT) and guided procedures, cardiac magnetic resonance imaging and CT, and CT angiography/magnetic resonance angiography vascular imaging. The program prepares fellows for successful careers in academic radiology, private practice, or research. Training on the latest imaging equipment, fellows perform more than 100 exams weekly using a dedicated 256-slice Phillips CT scanner, as well as 1.5-T Siemens and 3-T GE scanners for magnetic resonance imaging.

A truly multidisciplinary experience, the fellowship allows trainees exposure across a variety of Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai cardiac and pulmonary research programs. At the Cardiovascular Research Institute at Mount Sinai, fellows develop skills in cardiology, cardiothoracic, and vascular surgery. Working at the Mount Sinai – National Jewish Health Respiratory Institute, trainees focus on interstitial lung disease characterization and treatment. Fellows also develop experience working in our Lung Cancer Screening Program, the BioMedical Engineering and Imaging Institute, and one of the most advanced cardiothoracic and pulmonary surgical and oncologic centers in New York.
