We are delighted that you are interested in our ABIM-accredited and highly ranked Endocrinology Fellowship Program centered at the Mount Sinai Hospital. We offer seven positions each year.
The mission of our Clinical Fellowship in Endocrinology and Metabolism is to advance excellence in patient care, research and education by training academic endocrinologists who will become leaders in their fields. As the practice of endocrinology is often conducted in the outpatient setting, we offer unique outpatient experiences during both the first and second years of fellowship, under the guidance of expert Master Clinicians. These include mentored ambulatory rotations in adrenal, pituitary, bone, thyroid, reproductive disorders, diabetes, lipid disorders, high risk obstetrics and transgender medicine. Fellows also participate in multidisciplinary conferences and tumor boards in all of these areas.
We offer two training options – a two-year Master Clinician track and a three-year Physician-Scientist track. The Master Clinician track emphasizes highly customized training and certification in subspecialty endocrinology, including adrenal diseases, polycystic ovary syndrome and reproductive disorders, diabetes in pregnancy, neuroendocrinology and endocrine genetics.
The three-year Physician-Scientist track provides 75% protected time for mentored research from a broad range of outstanding faculty at the Icahn School of Medicine. Our trainees have successfully transitioned to mentored career development awards and faculty appointments within the Mount Sinai Health System as well as at leading medical centers around the country.
Our mission is to train the best-of-the-best, an aim that can only be achieved by providing successful mentorship. Our Faculty, many of whom are former graduates and leaders in our field, are dedicated to training the next generation of outstanding endocrinologists.
We encourage you to learn more about our program and look forward to getting to know you.
Sincerely,
