We value diversity in our trainees and conduct a holistic review of all applications received through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). We do not have a minimum USMLE score cut-off.

Categorical
We are pleased to offer ten categorical track positions for each year in The Mount Sinai Hospital Neurology Residency Program.
Categorical Track (1490180C0)
A resident who matches into a Categorical position will spend all four (4) years at Mount Sinai, including a PGY-1 year in the Department of Internal Medicine.
The PGY-1 year includes the following:
- 34 weeks of medicine (a minimum of 8 months is what ACGME requires for neuro-prelims)
- 14 weeks of elective (which can be spent in medicine subspecialties, or neurology, or neurological/neuroscience research if desired)
- 4 weeks of vacation
