The Mount Sinai HSPAL PGY-2 Residency Program is an ASHP candidate program that offers one residency position every year.
Program Overview
The pharmacy administration and leadership PGY-2 offered by the Mount Sinai Health System provides a wide variety of learning experiences and prepares residents to become future leaders of integrated health systems.
The program allows for tailored instruction for the individual resident based on interest, past experience, and future goals. Areas of competence emphasized during the 12-month program include safe and effective medication-use systems, quality assurance and improvement, the management of human resources, the management of financial resources, use of technology, and advanced leadership.
Upon completion of the program, the resident will be equipped with the clinical and administrative bandwidth required to assume health system-based clinical and/or operational management positions.

Description of the Practice Site
The Mount Sinai Health System is comprised of 39 institutions focused on multidisciplinary research, education, and clinical progress. With eight hospital campuses in the New York metropolitan area, residents will have the opportunity to practice at sites across the health system including:
