Message From the Interim Director

The Office of Professional Engagement and Development represents a unique opportunity to integrate Mount Sinai’s career support, well-being, and community building programs in one place. As the inaugural Interim Dean and Director of this new endeavor, I am excited and humbled to be leading the unification of these efforts.

I will be working closely with leadership across the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and Mount Sinai Health System, as well as the leaders of the integrated offices, to expand existing programs and build new ones for our Mount Sinai faculty, students, residents, and clinical and postdoctoral fellows. These programs include career advancement support, leadership development initiatives, mentorship training, well-being and workplace optimization guidance, and community building efforts. I am deeply interested in hearing the voices and understanding the professional, educational, and well-being needs of our community. One of our first steps will be to reach out to schedule listening and idea-gathering sessions with those who would like to share their thoughts about the Office of Professional Engagement and Development. We will also share information about the Office as it evolves and takes shape.

I look forward to collaborating with our faculty, students, residents, and clinical and postdoctoral fellows on this transformative opportunity to shape the Office and its programs. Our work will position Mount Sinai at the forefront of strengthening opportunity, well-being, and connection, and build a culture where every member of our community can flourish.
