Message from the Program Director

Today’s health care administrator needs to be adept at managing change in a highly uncertain environment, shaped by competing policy, medical, financial, organizational, and societal forces that need to be understood. Our Master of Health Administration (MHA) program is especially well-suited to help you be prepared for change, as well as to lead it. Not only are we part of one of the foremost medical schools in the nation, but we are an integral part of the highly-rated Mount Sinai health care delivery system in one of the world’s most diverse cities.

The Mount Sinai Health System has dramatically expanded its clinical and research enterprise over the past decade. Our MHA program draws directly upon the executives leading these initiatives, as well as acclaimed faculty from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, which is top-ranked by leading organizations for research funding, innovations, and diversity. So, you will have an opportunity to learn from hands-on professionals who are actually spearheading our innovation, growth, and exceptional medical care. Simply put, the knowledge you can directly access and learn here, you can’t find anywhere else.

Value creation is also one of the central drivers in health care transformation. Tomorrow’s managers will define it, reinvent it, and exemplify it. They will shape their organizations into high-value delivery systems for diverse populations. We are looking for exceptionally motivated individuals who are up to this very important task, and if you are one, our program is committed to empowering you to achieve and excel.
