The Center of Excellence in ADHD and Related Disorders offers a number of clinical services to children, adolescents, and adults, including psychological and psychiatric evaluation and testing, neuropsychological assessment, behavioral and cognitive-behavioral treatments, school consultations, and medication management.
All of our advanced evaluations and treatments are based on the latest scientific findings from our own peer-reviewed, translational research, and discoveries of the most prominent clinical investigators from other renowned institutions worldwide.
We are fully committed to understanding and treating attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), a neurodevelopmental condition that makes it difficult for children, and sometimes adults, to pay attention or control impulses. Symptoms often present themselves at a very young age and many children do learn coping mechanisms, but in 30-60 percent of those with ADHD, behaviors continue into adulthood.
The treatment we provide could make a critical difference in the life of someone with ADHD. When left untreated, ADHD can often cause a host of worrisome effects, such as poor decision making; interference with interpersonal relationships; inability to complete assignments at school or work; and contribution to self-esteem, social, and emotional problems.
We cater to individual needs, circumstance, characteristics, and age, working with all three types of ADHD: predominantly inattentive; hyperactive impulsive; and the most-commonly diagnosed, combined inattentive and hyperactive impulsive.
Our Research
We invite you to participate in studies on psychiatric evaluation and testing, medication, brain imaging, and genetic testing. Through clinical research, we are exponentially expanding knowledge about ADHD, its causes, and the most precise and effective treatments. We hope that you, your loved ones, your referred patients, and the world at large can all benefit from our work at the Center. Learn more
