The Office of Gender Equity in Science and Medicine was established in 2019 and has since remained committed to ensuring a supportive, collegial environment free from harassment for faculty, students, and trainees, regardless of gender, gender expression, or gender identity. The Gender Equity team works hard to develop programming to promote equity for Mount Sinai Health System professionals in science and medicine regardless of gender.

Amplifying Equity Speaker Series

In 2021, we launched the Amplifying Equity Speaker Series featuring esteemed colleagues in the work towards advancing gender equity in our institution and beyond.

Our seminars have focused on topics ranging from equity and diversity in biomedical research to mentorship and sponsorship. We are excited to continue this powerful speaker series and highlight individuals internal and external to Mount Sinai with lessons to share from the field.

Please check out our past Amplifying Equity Speaker Series events and share your suggestions for leaders in the field or topics we should highlight in the future.
