Leadership Programs

Our leadership programs are open for all to apply.

Learning as Leaders Program

The Learning as Leaders program is open to faculty members who have held the rank of Associate Professor for at least five years or who are full-time professors. Since 2024, this highly competitive program provides faculty with an opportunity to cultivate practical management and organizational skills while exploring novel leadership models and principles needed to thrive in academic medicine today. The six-month program offers skill-building workshops, personal reflection exercises for deeper skill cultivation, and opportunities to network with senior leaders and build community. Congratulations to our current cohort:

Robin Chemers Neustein Mid-Career Faculty Award

Robin Chemers Neustein Mid-Career Faculty Award is designed for Associate Professors who have held this rank for at least two years. This very selective program provides the necessary mentorship, sponsorship, concrete tools, and support to become full professors. In addition to six months of programming, the award provides funds for professional development and coaching. We are proud to announce our second cohort:

Building Equity Together Initiative

Since 2022, the Building Equity Together (BET) Initiative has included a series of facilitated dialogues that bring members of the school community together to explore novel ways for enhancing belonging, creating positive change, and supporting advancement. The conversations paved the way for community-led action teams working on three powerful goals:

  1. amplifying caregiving and family-friendly benefits;
  2. normalizing the use of such benefits;
  3. Implementing a system-wide dashboard that includes representation, recruitment and promotion metrics

Amplifying Equity Series

Since 2021, the Amplifying Equity Speaker Series has featured esteemed colleagues presenting topics such as: representation in biomedical research, the history of women in science and medicine, and mentorship, sponsorship, and allyship.

Check out our past Amplifying Equity events and let us know what topics or leaders in the field we should invite next!

Just Desserts

We host monthly meetings, called Just Desserts, to celebrate and learn from various successful scientists and/or physicians for our faculty, staff, and trainees.
