Each year, at events sponsored by the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, Dean Charney provides updates, remarks, and commentaries. Dean Charney’s addresses to diverse audiences—including students, residents, fellows, executive leadership teams, and industry experts—are consistently focused on moving Icahn Mount Sinai to the next level.

On an annual basis Dean Charney delivers a State of the School update. This presentation highlights recent Icahn Mount Sinai achievements and opportunities for further strategic growth.

In addition to his annual State of the School update, Dean Charney regularly presents on behalf of Icahn Mount Sinai at conferences, industry meetings, and campus ceremonies.

At the end of each year, Dean Charney recognizes the new graduating class of Icahn Mount Sinai in his celebratory Commencement address.

Joined by their families, faculty, and executive leadership, the annual White Coat Ceremony marks a critical milestone for every physician in training. Speaking from decades of experience and straight from the heart, Dean Charney uses this opportunity to spotlight what it takes for any physician—new or well-established—to treat diverse patients with compassion, respect, and resiliency.
