Our residency rotation sites include several Mount Sinai Health System locations as well as Elmhurst Hospital Center and James J. Peters VA Medical Center. Residents are prepared for medical practice and academic medicine throughout their training. Our rotation sites are:
The Mount Sinai Hospital

Klingenstein Clinical Center
This building on The Mount Sinai Hospital campus houses our two inpatient rehabilitation units (brain injury and spinal cord injury). Each unit is 25 beds and staffed by specialized rehabilitation trained nurses, therapists, patient care associates, neuropsychologists, social workers, attendings, and residents. Inpatient rotations will be held here.
Faculty Practice
This building on The Mount Sinai Hospital campus houses outpatient offices for more than 2000 physicians from all specialties, including Physiatry. MSK and Pediatrics rotations will be held here.
Mount Sinai Downtown
This location in Union Square (14th St) holds offices for primary and specialty care physicians, and has a new urgent care facility. MSK rotations will be held here.
Elmhurst Hospital Center
This hospital is part of the NYC Health and Hospitals Corporation. It is a 545-bed hospital and a Level 1 Trauma Center. Rehabilitation rotations offered here include inpatient ward, outpatient general rehabilitation, amputee/prosthetics & orthotics clinic, electrodiagnostic procedures, and pediatric clinic.
James J. Peters VA Medical Center
This VA hospital located in the Bronx “has 311 authorized hospital beds and 120 nursing home beds and operates several regional referral points including Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) and Medical/Surgical subspecialties.” Rotations here include outpatient rehabilitation and electrodiagnostic procedures.
