Message from the Chair
"We build the future of physiatry, one trainee at a time"
The Department of Rehabilitation and Human Performance at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (ISMMS) continues to be a beacon for excellence in clinical care, research, innovation, and evidence-based education. Our residency and fellowship programs produce well-rounded, compassionate, and competent physiatrists. The Mount Sinai Health System and its affiliates, the James J. Peters VA and Elmhurst Hospital, offer our residents and fellows a diverse patient population that ensures a unique training experience. Our research, faculty and programs have been a great resource for up to date information, and cutting-edge technologies that allows our residents and fellows to flourish in scholarly activities. We believe that our residents and fellows receive unparalleled education and professional development that results in exceptional physiatrists. We are proud of our alumni who have gone on to serve their communities, and lead the field in research, patient care, and education.
