We are thrilled to introduce ourselves as the 2026 - 2027 Chief Residents: Adam, Daniel, Kris, and Taylor. Thank you for your interest in the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency Program at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
As the only categorical PM&R residency program in New York City, Mount Sinai offers a comprehensive four-year training experience within one of the country’s largest and most diverse healthcare systems. Our residents gain broad exposure to the full spectrum of physiatry while caring for patients from across New York City and around the world. The depth and complexity of our clinical experiences prepare graduates to approach even the most challenging cases with confidence.
Our training spans multiple hospitals and rehabilitation settings, providing experience in inpatient rehabilitation, consultative physiatry, musculoskeletal and sports medicine, electrodiagnostic medicine, pain management, and pediatric rehabilitation. This clinical training is complemented by a robust didactic curriculum featuring faculty from throughout the Mount Sinai Health System, as well as distinguished guest speakers from across the country.
What truly distinguishes our program, however, is its community. Our residents support one another both inside and outside the hospital, and the relationships formed during residency extend well beyond graduation. We are fortunate to train alongside dedicated faculty members who are deeply invested in our professional development and who serve as mentors, teachers, and colleagues.
Living in New York City also provides countless opportunities to recharge outside of work. Whether exploring Central Park, attending a Broadway show or sporting event, discovering a new restaurant, or visiting one of the city’s world-class museums, our residents are able to enjoy everything the city has to offer while maintaining a fulfilling life outside of medicine.
The Mount Sinai PM&R Residency Program is committed to developing knowledgeable, compassionate, and well-rounded physiatrists. By graduation, our residents are prepared to pursue competitive fellowships, enter clinical practice, and become leaders within the field.
