If you or a loved one are having challenges with remembering things, finding words, or are experiencing changes in behavior and mood, we can help. The Barbara and Maurice Deane Center for Wellness and Cognitive Health offers a single portal of entry for any patient or caregiver affected by a cognitive or behavioral condition, in addition to those patients looking to maintain brain health. The Deane Center brings together a team of doctors and care providers to develop a treatment plan just for you. Our team includes internationally recognized neurologists, geriatricians, psychiatrists, neuropsychologists, nurses, social workers, and neuroscientists.
Through our extensive evaluation process, we carefully assess your condition then create a coordinated management plan that relies on the newest available therapies. Every prospective patient seen at the Deane Center will undergo an initial evaluation to determine the level of care needed. The initial evaluation may include some or all of the following:
- Interview
- Neuropsychological assessment
- Physical and neurological exam
- Taking of a medical history for you and your family
- Review of any drugs you are taking and their side effects
- Imaging tests such as brain scans (magnetic resonance imaging and positron emission tomography)
- Blood work and cerebrospinal fluid tests
We determine the level of care that you or your loved one needs. Then we work with you to create a care plan that is personalized for you and your loved ones.
We offer compassionate and empathic treatment, whatever your cognitive and behavioral needs. And we are here for patient, family, and caregivers.
