In 2013, we formed an academic affiliation with Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, a research university known for its strong engineering and computational sciences programs.
This long-term relationship has resulted in the joint Center for Engineering and Precision Medicine (CEPM). Located in New York City, the Center is based on the notion that engineering and engineering science can help health care researchers better understand basic biomedical phenomena, and that this enhanced understanding will lead to the development and commercialization of new and improved treatments and processes. We focus on basic and translational health care research; educational opportunities, starting with a doctoral degree program and expanding to include other offerings; and commercialization of CEPM research.
