Computer Services at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (ISMMS) provides students, faculty, and staff with resources and services to meet a variety of computing needs.
Computational Biology Facility
The Computational Biology Facility provides researchers with access to high-performance computing systems. The facility has two clusters. Both clusters are ideal platforms for open source applications that can take advantage of a large numbers of processors, especially for parallel processing.
Levy Library
The Levy Library offers a range of technology resources for faculty, staff, and students. This includes 70 Windows workstations with on-site access to the library’s online resources and software applications such as Microsoft 365, ArcGIS, MATLAB, RStudio, SPSS, SAS, EndNote and Zotero. The library also offers four laptop docking stations, a self-service scanning station, a color and a black-and-white printer, and a microfiche reader. Laptops, chargers, and adaptors are also available for short-term loans.
Video Conferencing & Media Services
The Media Technology Services department is located on the 10th floor of the Annenberg building. MTS is responsible for supporting all Classroom and Collaboration Space Technologies (A/V) needs across Mount Sinai Health System including the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
At ISMMS, our services support all academic programming needs from classroom and collaboration space technologies to Zoom video conferencing in support of hybrid class sessions and events and distance learning.
Video Conferencing (Polycom and Zoom Room systems) has become a routine element in daily operations (meetings and classes) across the organization. To request training or support, please contact the Technical Support Desk via phone or through our automated ticketing system.
The Media Technology Services department has a staff of 5 technicians and our operating hours are from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Please contact us through our IT support desk at 212-241-7091.

Educational Technology
Educational Technology collaborates with the Icahn School of Medicine community to integrate advanced solutions, including instructional design principles, augmented and artificial intelligence, evidence-based resources, and cognitive theory into the teaching and learning process.
We partner with faculty, students, researchers, and staff to design in-depth, innovative learning resources that amplify curricular transformation and support accessible and inclusive instruction. Educational Technology focuses on providing tools, training, and strategic support to inspire innovation and optimize resource investments for high-quality education.
Storage
The School's Information Technology department offers several options to store, access, and protect data for Faculty, Students, Researchers and Staff. All faculty, staff and researchers receive a 5 TB OneDrive account which comes with their Office 365 email account. Also available to faculty, researchers, students and staff is Microsoft Teams and Sharepoint for storage options. Students receive a non-email Office 365 account in addition to their Google Apps for Education email account. This allows Students storage access on OneDrive, Teams, and Google Drive.
