Student Community

Students at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai are involved in advocacy and activism to advance equity and justice for the patients and communities we serve, and to build community amongst each other to foster an inclusive learning and training environment. Our staff serve as faculty advisors and consultants to several student organizations and student-led electives. These groups offer students a variety of opportunities for community engagement, professional development, and pathways for becoming involved in social justice and health advocacy opportunities. We encourage students to participate in the student groups and initiatives working towards a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive Icahn Mount Sinai.
