DPM/MPH

The Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and the New York College of Podiatric Medicine (NYCPM) offer a dually registered Doctor of Podiatric Medicine/Master of Public Health (DPM/MPH) program that allows you to support a healthy population through targeted podiatry care.

The overlap of podiatry and public health plays an important role in prevention among elderly, diabetic, and active patient populations. You will learn how the pillars of public health—disease prevention, population health, and equity—are used to prevent and treat pervasive foot and ankle issues, such as amputation, diabetic infections, injuries, and mobility.

Students interested in our DPM/MPH program must first be accepted into NYCPM’s DPM program and obtain permission to apply for the dual degree program from the Dean of Pre-Clinical Sciences.
