DPM/MPH Program

The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Master of Public Health (MPH) program and the New York College of Podiatric Medicine (NYCPM) offer a dually registered joint DPM/MPH degree program. The dual degree program can be completed in four or four and one-half years by taking classes in both programs simultaneously.

Podiatric students who have been accepted into the DPM/MPH program must complete their MPH degree during the time they are enrolled at NYCPM. Students typically fulfill the coursework and practicum requirements during the first two years of training and complete their master’s thesis during the remaining two years.

How to Apply

Current podiatric medicine students interested in applying to the dual DPM/MPH program must obtain permission from Lisa K. Lee, Dean of Student Services and Enrollment Management at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, and then should submit an application through SOPHAS
