The Mount Sinai Surgical Simulation Center is a state-of-the-art facility that allows users to recreate nearly any health care scenario. This simulation center facilitates the type of teamwork, interactions, and communications among staff that contribute to the safety and care that we provide our patients. The center allows residents to train with virtual manikin simulators and high-definition laparoscopic stations.
The Surgical Simulation Center transcends basic residency education and training, providing a multidisciplinary and multispecialty educational experience. Faculty members are available during scheduled training sessions to instruct residents on surgical techniques. In addition, junior and senior residents collaborate in assigned training sessions to simulate surgical collaboration.
The center’s goals are to improve education and promote lifelong learning for all staff and faculty, as a haven for learning surgical skills, knowledge, and advanced training.
