Hasso Plattner Institute for Digital Health at Mount Sinai

At the Hasso Plattner Institute for Digital Health at Mount Sinai, we use the tools of data science, biomedical and digital engineering, and medical expertise to improve and extend lives. The Institute represents a collaboration between the Hasso Plattner Institute for Digital Engineering in Potsdam, Germany, and the Mount Sinai Health System. Our shared goal is to drive innovations that have a positive impact in the lives of patients, while transforming how people think about their personal health and health systems.

The Hasso Plattner Institute for Digital Health at Mount Sinai receives generous support from the Hasso Plattner Foundation. Our current research programs and machine learning efforts focus on improving our ability to diagnose and treat patients.

Research Programs

At the Institute, we perform research that combines biomedical and data sciences to develop digital health solutions for both patients and researchers. These programs include:

Digital Discovery Program: The Digital Discovery Program (DDP) is a comprehensive program of patient-centric health studies and clinical tools that utilize wearable, mobile, and sensor technologies to generate and integrate multi-modal data. We use this data to better understand complex diseases that impact millions of individuals each year. Learn more about DDP.

AI Ready Mount Sinai platform: AI Ready Mount Sinai (AIR•MS) is a multi-modal health data platform that links patient data generated from different clinical departments to mitigate siloing and accelerate the advancement of health care driven, AI-based solutions. Learn more about AIR•MS.
