Medical Student Research Fellowships

Within the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, research fellows have the chance to embark on a year-long investigative project under the guidance of a faculty mentor. Each fellowship program provides one year of funding tailored to meet the specific interests of the selected candidate.

Our research fellowships are independent scholarships awarded on an individual basis. They are available to students currently in their third year of medical school. Each selected candidate receives a stipend of $35,000 to support room and board, with additional funding provided for health benefits.

Our candidates are expected to participate in all Department-related educational activities, such as the head and neck cancer tumor board, and grand rounds. They additionally have the opportunity to shadow clinical activities.
