Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry Fellowship at Mount Sinai Morningside and Mount Sinai West

The Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry Fellowship at Mount Sinai Morningside and Mount Sinai West is a one-year program designed to train psychiatrists in the collaborative care of patients with comorbid psychiatric and medical conditions. Fellows split their training between two sites: Mount Sinai Morningside and Mount Sinai West, each offering diverse patient populations and clinical settings. The Morningside campus comprises 495 beds and operates a Level 2 trauma center, while the West campus is a tertiary care center with 514 beds and includes the renowned Addiction Institute of Mount Sinai. In addition to working in the surgery, neurosurgery, obstetrics and gynecology, intensive cardiac care, geriatric, and rehabilitation units, fellows also gain outpatient experience in specialty medical clinics.

The Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry Fellowship curriculum is designed to develop the skills necessary to work in the changing landscape of embedded psychiatry models. We encourage fellows to participate in research and teaching opportunities and to present at departmental Grand Rounds. In addition to biweekly case conferences, weekly didactics are held in conjunction with the Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry Fellowship at The Mount Sinai Hospital and focus on core topics in the field. Fellows are also welcome to participate in interdisciplinary Bioethics Committee meetings.
