Center for Advanced Medical Simulation

About The Center for Advanced Medical Simulation

Established in 2007, CAMS was the first fully accredited simulation center in New York by the Society for Simulation in Healthcare. Our Center is currently one of six accredited simulation centers statewide and the only accredited and only multidisciplinary center in the Mount Sinai Health System.

We are dedicated to improving patient safety, communication, and medical education. As one of the few hospital-based multidisciplinary centers, we provide simulation opportunities to all professionals in the Mount Sinai Health System in an effort to promote system-wide patient safety and quality improvement initiatives.

CAMS has three simulation laboratories, a virtual-reality training arcade, a debriefing, and a conference room. All areas of CAMS are equipped with audiovisual and video-recording equipment to facilitate education, training, and debriefing.
