During a two week elective, residents learn to develop and facilitate comprehensive medical simulation scenarios and educate others through procedural and case-based simulation. 

Residents, under simulation fellow and faculty supervision, develop technical programming skills necessary to build real-time case scenario algorithms and learn to utilize medical simulation to reduce medical errors and improve patient care.
