Review the Traveling with Technology Bulletin and take the appropriate steps to safeguard your devices and data.

It is strongly recommended that Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai travelers:

  • Register each trip with STEP, the U.S. State Department’s Smart Traveler Enrollment Program, to receive safety alerts and local news updates from the U.S. embassy at your destination. Please note that non-U.S. citizens can still register with STEP to receive safety alerts, however, non-U.S. citizens would not be eligible for U.S. embassy assistance in the event of an emergency. We strongly encourage non-U.S. citizens to register their travel with their own embassy.
  • Save a digital and paper copy of the International SOS Membership Card to carry on your person during your trip.
  • Download the International SOS Assistance App onto your mobile phone to access country guides, vaccination and visa requirements, and country-specific safety alerts.
You can also use the app to contact the nearest International SOS Assistance Center at any time for advice or assistance, either via phone or Live Chat. Keep in mind that you will need to use the same account details that you created for the International SOS Member Portal.
  • Review International SOS Member Portal for additional resources (e.g., country-specific safety advice, sign up for email safety alerts, and certificate of International SOS coverage). Please note that you will need to create a login if this is your first time using the International SOS Membership Portal.
