The Master of Science in Biostatistics at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is a unique program designed to prepare you with a strong quantitative background for a career as an applied statistician, data scientist, or biostatistician.

As you embark on this path, it is important to remember that biostatistics is more than just numbers and data. It is about making a difference in people's lives by using statistical methods to answer important questions in public health and medicine. With your skills in biostatistics, you have the power to make a positive impact on the world by improving the health and well-being of individuals and populations.

Our academically rigorous and stimulating environment will challenge your critical thinking, hone your skills, and help you build valuable relationships with faculty and peers.

Graduates of our Program have extraordinary opportunities to find a job in academic institutions, federal agencies, and industry; and many of our students go onto to pursue doctoral programs in biostatistics, epidemiology, or data science. Most of our students have secured a job within days of graduation, a testament to the real-world experience students get in our program.
