Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. We train researchers in operating both the analyzers and the cells sorters, once a few mandatory modules have been completed. More information is provided through iLab.

The CoRE provides acquisition and sorting of prepared samples. When you make an instrument reservation, please select a technician from the appropriate CoRE staff. If you require additional services such as sample preparation and data analysis, please contact the CoRE manager.

No. All reagents are the responsibility of the individual researcher. The CoRE can assist you in deciding what to use, but we don’t have any stocks of repositories.

Yes. All our sorters can deposit exactly one cell (or more, if you want) into each well of any format plate, up to 384 wells.

We have some basic requirements and can be flexible beyond them: >95 percent aqueous with a low level of protein supplement (less than two percent serum or one percent BSA). If you are using a membrane impermeant viability dye (DAPI, PI, DRAQ7), it must be included in the final sample to maintain equilibrium.
