Neurology Research Networks

The Department of Neurology at Mount Sinai Health System participates in three research networks: EPPIC-Net, NeuroNEXT and StrokeNet. These research networks all aim to conduct Phase II clinical research studies rapidly and efficiently through multiple sites simultaneously nationwide.

All of the research networks include a Clinical Coordinating Center (CCC) and a Data Coordinating Center (DCC).  The CCC provides management of the design and conduct of clinical studies, while the DCC provides data support on the statistical design and analysis of studies. The networks collaborate with academic institutions, private foundations, and industry to conduct the studies.

EPPIC-Net

The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (ISMMS) EPPIC-Net Specialized Clinical Center is one of the 11 specialized clinical centers included in The Early Phase Pain Investigation Clinical Network (EPPIC-Net).

NeuroNEXT

Mount Sinai Network of Excellence in Neuroscience Clinical Trials is one of the 25 specialized clinical centers included in the The Network for Excellence in Neuroscience Clinical Trials (NeuroNEXT).

NIH StrokeNet

The New York City Collaborative Regional Coordinating Center (NYCRCC) is one of 29 clinical sites included in StrokeNet.
